Gladys Stump (1913-1919)—Gladys Stump was hired by the library organizational committee to be the first librarian.
Anne Metzger (1919-1957)—Anne Metzger became the second librarian on January 1, 1920 when Miss Stump accepted a position at the Logansport library.
Marian Bollinger (1957-2003)—On a Saturday evening in August 1931, Mrs. Byron (MarianBollinger came into the library to check out her weekly supply of books. Mrs. Metzger told her the library board members wanted her to turn in a formal application to be library assistant. Mrs. Bollinger began work the next month and was associated with the library in one way or another for the next 72 years. Mrs. Bollinger received her librarian's certificate from the state in 1957 and then exchanged places with Mrs. Metzger in July to become the new library administrator.
Darci Kessie (2003-2009)—Marian Bollinger continued as Library Director for 47 years until her retirement in September, 2003. At that time, Darci (Nestel) Kessie, a former English teacher, was hired as the fourth Director of the Library. Ms. Kessie was a local resident who grew up using the library that was then the little white house on the corner.
Renee Wozniak-Anderson (2009-2014) — Renee Wozniak Anderson was chosen to replace Ms. Kessie. She had been a teacher, school administrator, and in charge of adult programming at the library before she accepted the position as director.
Darci Kessie (2014-2015) — At the end of Ms. Wozniak-Anderson’s term, the board asked Ms. Kessie to return to the position of library director.
Vicki Builta (2015-) — Upon the retirement of Ms. Kessie, Ms. Builta was chosen as the Director of the Library. Builta spent more than 30 years as a public school librarian and also worked in public libraries in central Indiana.
